Acupuncture takes a holistic approach to understanding normal function and disease processes and focuses as much on the prevention of illness as on the treatment.

The origins of acupuncture in China and Korea can be traced back at least 2000 years, making it one of the oldest and most long-standing health care systems in the world. It is an effective, natural and increasingly popular form of health care that is being used by people from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds. The body’s ability to heal itself comes from within and I strive to work with the body’s own natural immune response to achieve total health.

Acupuncture treatment involves the insertion of fine, sterile needles into specific sites (acupuncture points) along the body’s meridians to clear energy blockages and encourage the normal flow of qi (life energy) through the individual. The practitioner may also stimulate the acupuncture points using other methods, including moxibustion, cupping, guasha, electro-stimulation and massage, in order to re-establish the flow of qi.

The needles are attached to a device that sends electrical currents or pulses into the body. Electrical currents have stimulating effects, which can influence the cells, tissues, and entire systems.

Electroacupuncture contains substances such as endogenous morphine (endorphin), encephalin, dynorphin which helps reduce pain during the operation. This practice is effective especially when it comes to inflammatory disease, sprain, and chronic pain.

Nature Herbal Medicine

Nature Herbal Medicine offers a time-proven solution for your health problems. Nature Herbal Medicine can treat most of our modern diseases using the most sophisticated forms of natural medicine in the world. Many pharmaceutical drugs prescribed today actually come from herbs, but because of the synthetic and processed nature of these prescription drugs, they come with many side effects that are experienced daily. Some of these symptoms include dizziness, insomnia, gas, heartburn, weight changes, and a decreased sex drive.

We take great care to formulate effective, natural herbal products. We use only the highest quality earth-derived ingredients. We source only the highest quality herbs from Korea, China and U.S. companies that lab test for proper species identification

to ensure the raw herbs are free of all contaminants. We may suggest herbal pills, powder or decoction to accelerate the healing speed.

Cupping is one of the oldest deep-tissue therapies available which dates back to ancient China,Korea, Egyptian and Middle Eastern cultures. We perform many different types of cupping.

Cupping is the term applied to a technique that uses small glass cups, bamboo jars or plastic suction cups as suction devices that are placed on the skin. While the vacuum is created, the drawing up of the skin is believed to open up the skin’s pores, which helps to stimulate the flow of blood, balances and realigns the flow of qi, breaks up obstructions, and creates an avenue for toxins to be drawn out of the body. Cupping is often used to relieve any pain or stiff muscles but it could also be used for diagnosis purposes. We recommend cupping for all initial patients for this reason. Cupping is fairly safe but you may get some bruises which could last up to a week.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha

Gua sha (scraping) is an ancient form of Chinese traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) massage therapy using a jade board scrape on the body to promote blood circulation and remove toxic heat, blood and lymph. It can indeed be effective for pain relief.

And When gua sha is administered on the face it promotes brighter complexion, reduces fine lines and restores firmness and elasticity. We recommend gua sha for patients with Bell’s Palsy, mobility issues, patients with cellulitis or simply as an add on service to the facial treatments.

Gua Sha can also treat more than the musculoskeletal dysfunctions. Gua Sha activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which stimulates digestion, slows the heart rate, and helps us relax. Studies have shown that Gua Sha can also treat headaches, migraines, neck and shoulder pain, as well as acute conditions such as sinus infections, earaches, and asthma.

Moxibustion therapy is a preventive, remedial, and curative technique that uses burning of dried mugwort (moxa) to provide increased circulation and soothing relief. Moxa is used to target specific acupoints on the body

surface to exert thermal stimulus to alleviate diseases and related symptoms.

Conditions Treated

The most common ailments presented to an acupuncturist tend to be pain related conditions. For example; arthritis, low back pain, neck pain, knee and shoulder pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica etc.

However, Traditional Korean and Chinese Medicine is a complete medical system

considers our body as a part of our mother nature since we are born from, breathe within, live among and return to mother nature. Our life shares almost everything with mother nature and interacts with mother nature.

These movements, changes and balances between us are results of Qi, the most basic substance of which the world is composed.

effectively treats a wide variety of conditions, specializing in chronic or difficult health issues that have not been relieved by Western Medicine. We approach illnesses in a totally different perspective by following the law of mother nature and addressing issues from both body and mind.
